  1. The society should cater to the basic services such as healthcare, education, and clean drinking water. To show this:
    1. He opened a free hospital and super-speciality hospitals.
    2. He started free education from the starting of schooling to the Highest University level. He also started the Bal Vikas Programme at a mass level across the world to build character in children.
    3. He asked the Prime Minister of India to provide water supply to 700 villages in the Rayalseema area. When the Government could not, He did it himself.
  2. To attract people of all faiths to the path of Sathya, Dharma, Prema, Ahimsa, and Shanti, He promoted Sarva Dharam Bhajans and blessed a logo depicting all faiths.
  3. He served mankind in numerous ways, offering this path to merge with God and endear mankind to His teachings. He gave the slogan: "Manav Seva is Madhav Sewa."
  4. He believed that discipline was a basic aspect of social life and vital for the protection of a nation. Discipline often flows easily when love is the basis. Self-discipline in all aspects of conduct was possible and depended on one's resolution. This was evident in His many actions, including not speaking to students for days when He was unhappy with their conduct.
  5. To attract devotees to the right path, He would show extraordinary happenings and help them in various ways. He often said, "My miracles are my visiting cards."
  6. He was open to using tried and tested technology for the benefit of mankind. Lord Rama used an aircraft to travel from Lanka to Ayodhya. In Lord Krishna’s era, Sanjay could see the battlefield from the palace and keep King Dhritarashtra abreast of the happenings. In Baba’s era, there has been exponential growth in technology. Baba procured advanced medical equipment in super-speciality hospitals and even set up an advanced R&D Centre.

  1. If you take one step towards God, He will take ten towards you.
  2. Work is worship. Duty is God.
  3. See all work as spiritual exercise, as an offering. Then, work is transformed into worship.
  4. Life is a challenge, meet it! Life is a dream, realize it! Life is a game, play it! Life is love, enjoy it!
  5. There is only one caste, the caste of humanity. There is only one religion, the religion of love. There is only one language, the language of the heart.
  6. Love lives by giving and forgiving. Ego lives by getting and forgetting.
  7. See no evil, see what is good. Hear no evil, hear what is good. Talk no evil, talk what is good. Think no evil, think what is good. Do no evil, do what is good.
  8. When we skill our knowledge, life is well-balanced. When we kill our knowledge, the balance is upset.
  9. The end of wisdom is freedom. The end of culture is perfection. The end of knowledge is love. The end of education is character.
  10. For the mansion of life:
    • Self-confidence is the foundation,
    • Self-satisfaction the wall,
    • Self-sacrifice the roof,
    • Self-realization is the life.
  11. Education should be for life, not for a living.
  12. We do not need different kinds of information. We need transformation.
  13. Money comes and goes. Morality comes and grows.
  14. Study to be steady.
  15. Those anxious to live in joy must always be doing good.
  16. Removal of immorality is the only way to immortality.
  17. The best way to love God is to love all and serve all.
  18. Always repeat: I am human, not animal. When we join these two halves, we have the full truth.
  19. Where there is faith, there is love; where there is love, there is peace; where there is peace, there is truth; where there is truth, there is God; where there is God, there is bliss.
  20. Conscience is our real power, strength, and awareness.
  21. Some say that knowledge is power, but it is not true. Character is power.
  22. You must fill your heart with love for God (daiva preeti), fear of sin (paapa bheeti), and morality in society (sangha neeti).
  23. When we turn our vision to the world, we develop attachment. When we turn to Divinity, detachment results.
  24. Keeping in view the atmosphere in the world, it is important to teach students about morality and ethics while equipping them with worldly knowledge.
  25. Humanness means unity in thought, word, and deed.
  26. The cause for this multiplication of human sorrow may be traced to man’s lack of faith in the essential unity underlying the phenomenal multiplicity.
  27. Gratitude is our life-breath.
  28. To transform the world from its present state, there is no need for a new social system or a new religion or creed. What is essential is a body of men and women with sacred ideals.
  29. One who respected his/her parents became worthy of everyone’s respect. The one who did not respect his/her parents was compelled to bow down to all. This inevitable law can never be changed by anyone.
  30. Do not ever think that you and God are separate. Think always: God is with me; He is inside me; He is around me. All there is, is God. I myself am God. I am the Infinite, the Eternal. I am not two; I am one, only one. There is no one else besides me. I and God are one and the same. To realize this Unity, the first step is to develop Self-confidence. It comes when you realize that God is not outside of you.
  31. The essence of spiritual wisdom lies in apprehending and experiencing the oneness of the trinity of sathyam, jnanam, and anantam.
  32. The secret of perfect health lies in keeping the mind always cheerful - never worried, never hurried, never borne down by any fear, thought, or anxiety.
